Please join us on Saturday, March 4th 2017, for the official book release of “A Prophecy: Book 2”, written by Canadian young author Sharuthie Ramesh and published with A Penguin Random House group, Xlibris. Sharuthie is a 16-year-old honors IB program student attending Michael Power St. Joseph High School, who will be furthering her studies into the forensic science field and wishes to inspire fellow youth. She is a drummer, active reader, and writer, as well as a double black stripe in Shotokan Karate. Sharuthie is one of the youngest (Teens-genre) novelists, publishing her first book when she was thirteen and her second book at age of fifteen. She is the holder of multiple House of Commons awards, as well as the NCCT Young Writers Award 2015 and receiver of a Recognition for Contributed Creative Writing Award from Uthayan Newspaper in 2015. The sequel book to “A Choice: Book 1”, the second installment of the Chosen Hybrid series (a trilogy of maturing and finding oneself) was featured in the China BookExpo exhibit 2016, as well as the Frankfurt Book Fair 2016. “A Prophecy: Book 2” will be showcased next year in several other international book exhibits, such as in England, UK, Mexico, and Chicago, USA. Both books by the young author are sold worldwide and will be available for purchase in both English and Tamil at the book release. The event will be at the ThamilIsaiKalaamanram Auditorium (1120 Tapscott Road, in Scarborough), starting at 5:00 pm (EST) sharp. Come and enjoy an evening of recognizing a fellow young Canadian-Tamil with speeches by various writers and special guest appearances, as well as a book signing by the author at the event. This is an event open to the public; snacks and beverages will be available.
